DO I NEED COUNSELLING ALONG WITH A DIET?
There is a relationship between eating and the emotional sphere.
There are kinds of food that induce a feeling of well-being and tranquility, or conversely bad mood and tension.
At the same time feelings can influence the quality and quantity of what we eat.
“Emotional hunger” is the urge to eat, often without any real hunger, which is usually followed by feelings of guilt or anger, not to mention added kilos. Counselling can be started before/during/after a diet in order to:
• Identify those unfulfilled areas of your life, where you tend to compensate
with the pleasure of food
• Discover your hidden resources and find new strategies to increase your self-esteem,
as well as achieve and maintain weight loss
I nevertheless recommend that you establish a balanced diet and healthy eating habits, with the help of an expert nutritionist.
